The Engine

How Frailty Scores Work

A proprietary risk engine informed by 25 seasons of NFL injury data — turning 20 measurable features into a single durability score for every player, every week.

Built on Real Data,
Not Hot Takes

Frailty scores are produced by the INJSUR model, informed by demographics, performance stats, injury history, and workload data. Scores are computed live on every visit and projected across all 17 weeks — covering both short-term game risk and season-long durability.

Proprietary risk engine

Informed by 25 seasons of NFL injury data, weighting each player's notable-injury records from the last five seasons (2022–2026) and per-player workload stats. Outputs a calibrated 0–100 frailty score per player.

Comprehensive dataset

Inputs span player demographics, performance statistics, injury history, and workload data — the durability picture no fantasy platform or sportsbook publishes.

Weekly durability scores

Short-term durability scoring for every upcoming game — evaluate the risk of any player in a DFS lineup or prop before kickoff.

Season-long durability scores

Forward-looking durability scoring across all 17 weeks — for dynasty drafts, trade windows, futures, and bankroll strategy.

Works Alongside Every Tool
You Already Use

DFS

DraftKings / FanDuel

Sort by PPR projection. Downgrade anyone frailty > 70 in cash lineups. Flip it for tournaments where you want differentiated, high-variance plays.

Props

Sportsbook Player Props

Use frailty as the tiebreaker between two similarly priced props. Lean unders on high-frailty skill players. Lean overs on low-frailty workhorses.

Fantasy

ESPN / Yahoo / Sleeper

Use the league leader board to find sell-high candidates (top-10 producer plus top-10 frailty) and buy-low targets (mid-tier producer plus bottom-quartile frailty).

Bankroll

Risk Management

One rule: cap weekly exposure to any player with frailty ≥ 80. The simplest single cut that meaningfully reduces tail risk across an entire season.
